Beaches.....

Within 10 to 15 minutes drive you will find some of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall. Treyarnon Bay has everything you will need for the good family day on the beach including car parking and amenities. There are sand dunes and rock pools, as well as sheltered small coves and an amazing natural swimming pool, accessible at low tide. Harlyn Bay is popular for its surfing and is backed by sand dunes and country fields. Parking, amenities and a large play ground are available. Constantine Bay is another superb, wide, sandy beach, surrounded by sand dunes and also the famous TREVOSE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. Surfing is very popular also on this beach. A bit further away is Porthcothan Bay, Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay, all lovely bays and sandy beaches for surfing and relaxing.

Restaurants...
Within easy reach of our cottage are some of the best restaurants in England! Our favourites include Rick Steins The Seafood, Margot's, Paul Ainsworths No. 6 all in Padstow, The St Kew Inn in St Kew, Jamie Olivers Fifeteen in Watergate Bay, and The Journeyman in St Issey. There are also loads of pubs, including our own local The Ring O Bells, with its great homemade food and home produced pork. Padstow and Wadebridge have a wonderful offering in coffee shops and places for a lighter bite including Relish in Wadebridge for the best coffee ever and Custard in Padstow.

Shopping....
Food shopping is plentiful and easily available in both Padstow and Wadebridge with a Tesco, Lidl as well as a multitude of individual shops and deli's. The fantastic Pre Ben Farm Shop on the way to Watergate Bay is definitely worth a visit for home reared meats and amazing home made cakes.
Fashion shopping is also available in both Padstow and Wadebridge with branches of Fat Face, White Stuff and Joules in Padstow and some wonderful individual fashion shops in St Issey. If you are after some gifts or interior pieces take a look in the fabulous Linterior in Wadebridge, they supplied all our soft furnishings and other pieces. Buckets and spades, wet suits, and other beach items are available everywhere.

Other places of interest....
Also wihtin easy reach is the beautiful harbour town of Port Issac. The Eden Project is a short drive away. Also within reach are St Michaels Mount, Pendennis and Tintagel Castles, The China Clay Museum, Geevor Tin mine, The Poldark Mine. The Royal Cornwall Museum, The National Lobster Hatchery, various theme parks and farms, The Minnick Theatre and Hall for Cornwall, to name just a few. More details are to be found in the cottage.
